- 2026-01-15: We headed over to the Chiang Dao Cave area to look around next to the temple before dark. Later that night, I heard a couple of owls in the vicinity, but I could not find them.
- 2026-01-16: Some more owls around town.
- 2026-01-17: Quick stop back in Chiang Dao
- 2026-01-21: We were dropped off back in Chiang Dao to spend a couple of more days. We heard the Boobook calling from near the hotel.
- 2026-01-22: We spent the morning looking for birds in the vicinity of the hotel. Afterward, we got a couple of rental bikes, and we rode over to the hot springs where I bought a coconut and an ice cream cone.
- 2026-01-23: Before heading back to Chiang Mai, we walked around to a few places in the Chiang Dao temple area.
